AUSTRiCHiSED (HEADS iN SAND)

iZZY's response to the 2023 Voice Referendum, when 6 out of 10 Australians voted down the proposal to give First Nations a voice to parliament in decisions affecting their lives. 'Burying your head in the sand' is often used to describe people who avoid dealing with difficult situations, a myth associated with Ostriches. Ironically, Ostriches actually dig holes in the sand to tend their nests - looking after the next generations - giving the illusion of burying their heads. AUSTRiCHiSED : © iZZY iBiS & FRiENDZ
